The time to get into your first home has never been better! Starting May 27, The Federal Government announced a new GST rebate for first-time home buyers (FTHB GST Rebate). This will remove the GST on new homes at or under 1 million and lower it on homes between 1 million and 1.5 million for all first time buyers.
The FTHB GST Rebate would allow an individual to recover up to $50,000 of the GST (or the federal part of the HST) paid in respect of a new home purchased from a builder.

I recently took possession of my home, which includes 4 bedrooms, a basement suite, and an additional suite above the detached garage. While the home was delayed for several months due to factors beyond Five Star’s control, the overall experience was positive.
